We had been made aware that while our local food pantry had non-perishable items, they also had an empty freezer and had received no meat donations for over a couple years. We earmarked funds, placed order, and delivered $500 of meat to them with the agreement they would contact us when it ran out so we can always ensure meat available for those in need.
